It is the first time that the world’s biggest football tournament The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held in the Middle East. It will start from November 21 to December 18, 2022. When and where is the FIFA 2022 World Cup?

The FIFA 2022 World Cup will start on Monday i.e. November 21 the Al Bayt Stadium and the final will be played at the Lusail Stadium in Doha a week before Christmas on Sunday, December 18.

World cup schedule:

There will be a total of four matches played each day during the group stage. It will take around a 12-day period to play the match between the teams to see the winners and runners-up progress to the round of 16.

Khalifa International Stadium:

In preparation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup™ matches two new dual arches have been added to the stadium. The stadium has a capacity of around 40,000 seats. It is located 10 km from the city center. The stadium includes Qatar’s Olympic aquatics center and indoor hall, Villaggio Mall, a park, and The Torch Doha hotel.

Al Janoub Stadium:

The stadium located in Al-Wakrah is a beautiful parkland with elegant architecture. Before and after the match football fans can roam around the waterfront, museum, and marketplace.

Al Bayt Stadium: 

The opening match of the tournament will be hosted at the Al Bayt Stadium and fixtures right through to the semi-finals. This stadium is located in Al Khor, about 50 km by road from the capital city of Doha.

974 Stadium:

Match timings:

As per the local timings, the first two rounds of matches will start at 1 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm, and 10 pm. The final round of group games and knockout-round matches will be at 6 pm and 10 pm and the final will kick off at 6 pm local time.
